I too had a couple of snow leopard upgrade hick-ups. Then i created a new profile, transfered all of my documents, music, etc to the new user account, removed the libraries/applications/native instruments folder, reinstalled, pointed to the new locations of the music, etc. Everything works amazingly well. After installing the latest Audio8 drivers, and traktor 1.21 i am able to get my latency down to 2.5ms at 96Khz! 0 drop outs!
I never trusted upgrades with any operating system be it mac or windows; so creating a new administrator profile and transfering all files, documents, resetting permissions seems to work well over the years. Otherwise, i backup everything to an external, format/reinstall than use time machine to restore.

seems like alot of work...

another thought, can it lose the file type associations (again, like windows - sorry), or is there settings for that kind of thing? maybe in all the confusion of upgrade/downgrade the association of tsi files got lost? if that can even happen?

Can anyone help with this mapping problem i have ?

When i go to import the the default vci 100 mapping it doesnt do anything ? and my vci is just sitting there illuminated but with no controls ?

Am i doing something wrong ? Can anyone give me the idiots step by step guide to getting this fucking thing to work ?

I am seriously so new to this and i only want to use the vci for mixing and a few effects and not to the extent that most of u guys want to use it !

I just need to find out how :

1. I can get the bloody thing working
2.Then find new mapping that will give me basic mixing and be able to use th jog wheels for light scratching / beat matching
3. Then Luke will be a happy boy! LOL

Where did you get it from ?

If its a zip file you have downloaded, have you unzipped it ?

with a mac, no idea. had problems similar to this in windows and it's usually cos the dosy c**ty thing has decided that notepad opens wav files and miesweeper is used to render acid projects, or something similar.

assuming that the mac os 'control panel equivelant' has options like that i would imagine you look in there and create an association to tsi files for tpro? based on it sounding like it doesn't open them.

its the default vci 100 .TSI within traktor - once u click open it should bring back a small box with various options and midi mapping ticked - but it doesnt and u cant tick any boxes!

Am i doing this right ?

Should i be doing something else / different ?

Are you doing it from the import window within the traktor options or are you just trying to double click the tsi file ?
