This is correct. These products cannot be upgraded, they do not have Xmos micro-controllers and they have non-upgradable logic boards.

So what do you think the future holds for those who carry these products? Im sure obsolete is obviously the ultimate shitty, but do you think there is going to be a fix? Do you have any advise for those who have been stressing and would love to talk with someone outside the box?

Do you think this issue is strong enough to be brought to the attention of the Techtools staff?

I really don't know. I don't know how this eff up that Apple have introduced has affected other manufacturers. It would be interesting to hear what their experiences are. It's pretty clear to me that Apple have made a major boob.

Again, I don't know. I just don't know how any manufacturer can patch out an issue that is being caused by USB3 chipsets inside Apple Macs. People should remember that this is affecting the actual laptops functionality as well as the connected devices.

Just wait for NI to announce anything new. I dunno what ANYONE can say to help in this circumstance. My guess is that Apple won't be losing too much sleep over it but they are the ones that should be stumping up some answers.

You've lost me on this. I don't know what DJTechTools has got to do with any of this..? I'm sure the techtools staff are aware of this issue anyway.
I don't think anyone could put anymore pressure on NI than they are already under.

I say the staff, because the amount of knowledge, and ideas that has came out of your heads is amazing. I understand that upgradability can't happen, however.... LOL techtools changed the world! Who knew that tapping into a controller and creating the VCI 100se was possible? I mean, it sounds easy now, but you guys thought of it first. Ean even had his say in how the controller was developed!

Honestly, I have know idea what i would like you to do. Nor, do i have any idea what you can do. Don't really expect you to do anything, I just know that if anything could, can, and would be done; it would come from here. Totally have faith Mr. moderator bloke..

Well that's very nice of you to say.
Ean and the DJTT team have done some amazing work. My part if is just moderating the forum though. I'm not involved in the controller side of things at DJTT.
I also moderate at NI and I've been involved in the testing of Traktor products for 7+ years (at NI) so my experience is more over on the NI side of things.

This Haswell issue is a bit bigger than getting under the hood of a controller though but hey, let's see what happens.
