Why people update their OS days after release before the company that makes their chosen DJ software announces that their tests show no issues is beyond my comprehension.

We all like shiny new OS's but if you are a working DJ (in any sense of the term) you will wait for confirmation.
Are people really that concerned to have new widgets and swish looking UI..? I just do not get it.

You could disable 'App Nap' just for Traktor.

Why on earth did you update the OS on the day of a gig when NI have not officially announced compatibility ?

Something similar has also been reported in the NI forum today. I would file this with NI technical support.

Did you try turning App Nap off for Traktor. To be honest that would only make a difference if App Nap came on due to Traktor being in the back ground but it's worth a shot.

No-one will have a genuine definite fix for this because NI haven't had reports of this yet to look into.

I wonder if people are having issues with Yosemite because they did a clean install ? because I just did the upgrade. and everything just works mabey its something is not right when u install traktor for the first time that might be the issue.

Do you have a full backup?

Basically, you download Mavericks from the App Store and run it. That should work. If it doesn't, look up instructions on making a booable USB to do it.

If OSX doesn't let you install that way, your only completely assured option is to boot the installer, format your boot drive, and install there from scratch. Unfortunately, that also means you need to reinstall TSP and whatever else you need to perform.

For future reference, ALWAYS make a clone of your boot drive before you do an OS update, even if everybody has said it's all fine.

Also....backups are good. Redundant backups are better.

Most likely because the servers where really slow since everyone was downloading it.
