Kontrol s4 mk2 usb 3.0 compatibility ??

Hi peep
im sorry if this has been asked before, BUT
has the issue with the kontrol S4 mk2 usb issue been sorted out ??
as ive just purchased an S4 mk2 and a 13" mid 2012 macbook pro i5 2.5ghz 8gb SSD
now the macbook only has 2x usb 3.0 sockets
now it says on the S4 box usb 2.0
i dont want to open my s4 ,otherwise ill have to keep it as i cant prove to the store that ive not registered the software/hardware
ive tried sourcing info BUT most of the info is dated from 2012
has the BSOD , freezes and reboots been sorted with firmware updates etc

Just install Traktor Pro demo without activate anything and see if your S4 works. Another way without open the package is to get your laptop with the demo installed and try a demo unit at your local store. The demo Traktor Pro is the full version of the program but it only works for 30 minutes and after that you need to restart the software.
