I use a X1 mk2 and I mapped your effect in midi mode.
I'm gonna try mapping it myself, if I can't work it out I'll ask for some help.
    Thanks!

Hey Stewe. I came across this video on you tube. I have been trying to improve my skills using the effects, one of them being the tape delay. I bought a traktor kontrol s4 6 months ago so I am a total noob. Is it possible to make the tape delay sound like yours on my Traktor Kontrol s4. I have played with the thing for hours and I cant get it to sound like this. If the answer is in this thread I will go back and read through but I figured I would ask first.

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction!!!!!!

QUOTE=Stewe;583313]Been messing with Tape Delay last night trying to make a solution for control using one macro knob.

This effect uses Tape delay in single unit mode and Transpose, Reverb and Peak filter in group unit mode. There is an order in layering effects in Traktor if we want other effects to play on top of others. It's very important to set Tape delay for example at Unit #1 and secondary effects in Unit #2 so #2 could modulate the sound of primary unit.

    Effect ON/reset button (Unit #1):
Add In > FX Unit > Unit On / button-toggle
    Add In > FX Unit > Button 2 / button-toggle
    Add In > FX Unit > Button 3 / button-direct / value=0
    Add In > FX Unit > Effect Selector / button-direct / value=Tape Delay
Add In > FX Unit > FX Unit Mode Selector / direct-Single
note: Before you engage the effect button 2 should be ON in order for mapped BUTTON to toggle between 'unit ON' and 'button 2' on each press.

    Macro knob:
    Add In > FX Unit > Dry/Wet / fader-relative / rotary sensitivity=80% ; acceleration=0% / Unit 1
    Add In > FX Unit > Knob 1 / button-direct / value=0.620 / Unit 1
    Add In > FX Unit > Knob 2 / button-direct / value=0.690 / Unit 1
    Add In > FX Unit > Knob 3 / fader-direct / Unit 1
    Add In > FX Unit > Dry/Wet / fader-relative / rotary sensitivity=65% ; acceleration=0% / Unit 2
    Add In > FX Unit > Knob 1 / fader-relative / rotary sensitivity=55% ; acceleration=0% / Unit 2
    Add In > FX Unit > Knob 2 / button-direct / value=0.050 / Unit 2
    Add In > FX Unit > Knob 3 / button-direct / value=0.850 / Unit 2
    Add In > FX Unit > Button 1 / button-hold / Unit 2
    Add In > FX Unit > Button 2 / button-hold / Unit 2
    Add In > FX Unit > Button 3 / button-hold / Unit 2
    Add In > FX Unit > Effect Selector / button-direct / value=Transpose Stretch / Unit 2
    Add In > FX Unit > Effect Selector / button-direct / value=Reverb / Unit 2
    Add In > FX Unit > Effect Selector / button-direct / value=Peak Filter / Unit 2
Add In > FX Unit > FX Unit Mode Selector / direct-Group / Unit 2
note: Before using this knob, Transpose should be set for 0.500[/QUOTE]

Yes, this is normal. The time the preferences need to open depends on the amount of mappings you have imported.

This is correct! And it's regardless of the size of individual mappings - even though you import multiple mapping devices which are all empty, this bug would still be there... (we all need to learn live with it)

I downloaded some effects (for reggae, jungle style of music like gunshots, lasers distortions, dub sirens). How can I put them into traktor pro 2.6.8 so I can play them out?

If you use Traktor 2.5 or above, you can drag and drop samples in to the Remix Deck cells. You would however need some midi controller or a keyboard mapping to trigger them.

    Default Mapping

    Hi Stewe!!

Can You help me about this mapping? Pleaseee

I have an Allen & Heath K2 controller!

    Thanks for your help!

Sounds like he's using a tape delay in a similar sound, only without the Transpose sweep. But, he uses the Bouncer effect (single mode) instead of micro loops. but you can also combine with loops and make ultrafine adjusts and pitch it with a Key knob - which is what the bouncer effect really is.
So it's Bouncer (unit1) in front of the Tape Delay (unit2) And a T3 Reverb at the end!

What controller do you map this for?

Hey, thanks for your interest! I am planning to make a step by step tutorial for this macro effect in the future.
I don't have a K2 you will need to work with me and answer this questions so I could know what is the best way to go about this mapping

    1) How would you use this effect? (single knob or knob+button) (affect only a track decks, or instead, trigger a sound in a remix deck and further modulate it with a knob)
    2) Would it be as add-on feature in to your custom mapping?
    3) What is the Traktor version and mapping do you currently use for K2?
    4) Some other ideas?
