cue sound not working

Try the cue volume knob on tp2 itself (you will need to show the (crossfader) that worked out for me when i had the problem.

Exactly what I was going to post. You need to go into TP2 settings and turn on the crossfader and you'll see three digital representations of the mix/cue/mic volumes on the front of the S4. If the middle "knob" appears to be all the way down (left), no movement on the S4's knob will activate it. Think of it as a master volume. Once you have the TP2 "knob" up to about halfway you can use the physical knob on the S4 to screw around with your volume.

reloading the .tsi didn't fix it however i reinstalled traktor and once i did this it worked normally again.. not sure what happened there.

I didn't bother reloading the .tsi, I just reinstalled Traktor and the CUE finally worked!! I can now listen through my headphones. Earlier I used to spin trying to play a guessing game and setting my cue points prior to mixing. No need for all that now.

Same here, i am having the same problem with the S8, i am hoping reinstallation solves the problem..
