I'm actually in between mixers at the moment. So i drove over to the dj store the other day, and said "whats really cheap, and has decent sound quality." as I only need a bedroom mixer for a week, then it goes in the closet.

They recommended the Numark M4, gen 2 all black model. It was $100 so I figured i'd give it a try. Now...its as bare bones at it gets! Very simple 3 channel with a mic channel. The lines and the master all work off one meter, so you you gotta flip the switch.

But honestly for what it cost and the simplicity of it, it sounds decent. I plugged my audio 8 into it. Its just a simple line mixer. THAT'S IT!

OK I am going to go with the Xone 23.

The only q is whether I go with the 23 or 23c.

I already have a Behringer UCA222 for converting RCA to USB into the PC. My plan is to buy a Logitech C920 so I can video some mixes and feed the audio into the PC via USB and select that as the audio source for the webcam. I've read that works.

So the only thing I need to decide is if I keep using the UCA222 so chose the 23 ... or get a 23c and connect the mixer directly into the PC via USB.

well...after seeing this I am not so sure but will order and see.

I'm not expert but the fact there is an article on how to increase levels makes me think the defaults are going to be too low - http://allen-heath.helpserve.com/Kno...-to-line-level

That article is about changing the 2 phono inputs to be permanent line inputs. There are 2 line inputs on it anyway that you can use.

Just got my Xone 23 today and holy shit is it an upgrade from the 22. No filer pops, dry wet control on the filter resonate, and the fx loop allows you to run through the filters so you can turn the fx unit on/off for each channel. I like the new layout too. I only wish the headphone cue was the same as the 22.. I like the ability to be able to control the ratio of the two channels versus a strict cue/mix.

That's the one thing that made me pick up a Denon X600 instead of a Xone 23.... My main gigging controler is an MC6000 and I use this feature so much, I just couldn't give it up!!

I mean I only use that feature when I spin at home but still... I did like it. I couldn't get away from Xone though I am very happy with the 23 after testing it.
