Thanks MaxOne, is the good as a standalone controller/mixer, i.e. can i use the X1 with my PC and audio 2/6 only?

I figured that the internal soundcard and 4 channels on the Xone K2 would be a benefit

Well tbh the x1 on its own is not ideal as stand alone controller tho I'm sure with some clever mapping it can be done... I have a dvs set up with 1200s, a djm900 and an x1mk2 but I also have an NI Z1 for portable solutions, house parties, certain bar gigs, holidays etc. the best portable traktor solution IMO is a Z1 (which ships with Traktor Pro nb not scratch pro) and an X1 mk2.. If u want to use dvs tho the audio 6 is the minimum package.

That's why I was thinking about the xone K2, as I can use it as a standalone mixer and map it how I need.

I've changed my view on things since I started the thread and want to spend less for a standalone system for Traktor which doesn't take up much space. Xone K2 fits the bill, and I presume another good solution is the Z1 + X1 combination, as mentioned.

This is mainly for bedroom use as well...

Personally I like the x1mk2 + external mixer with built in or external sound card option because you can take it to parties and clubs. The The X1mk2 + Z1 is a great set up honestly. Tactile enough to not be frustrating but compact. I was in costa rica recently and we got a gig at this amazing beach bar and we just used the x1 + z1 and plugged into the club system. it was killer.

It's versatile.

I mean if you fancy the K2 give it a go... they're not really that popular for a reason IMO.

I seriously doubt you'd regret owning a Z1 and X1mk2 combo... It's mega bo.

Can't decide between the xone k2 or the X1/z1 combo. I'll probably be more than happy with either. Cost wise its about the same after buying Traktor pro 2 for the xone k2...

I also guess the traktor F1 can be added to the Xone K2

For real man - trust me on the x1mk2... It's got the touch strip. Just for cueing up the first beat and nudging the tune (a la Cdj/vinyl ) it beats the K2.

If you haven't used much controllers coming from more traditional djing you will massively appreciate that!! Nb I started on vinyl - been djing 20 years. Digital is not as straight forward as it looks

Watch some YouTube tuts on the x1mk2 . Thing digital Dj tips got a good one.
