Default DJM 850 with Traktor Mapping Nightmare!

So I after that article on mapping any midi mixers, i decided to map my DJM850 to add just my echo fade out. Upon playing with the DJM in midi mode, when i turn my channel 2 Gain/Trim knob, it starts "quick scanning" through the track as well as turning the gain up and down! How do I get rid of this "search through the track" thing that my knob is doing! it completely fucks up my mix when i try and turn up/down the specific gain of a song!

    Thanks

Remove the "Seek Position" command out of your mapping. That one seems to be asking for a trouble.

Would that be in the generic keyboard mapping? I only have literally 6 fx lines in my mapping for the 850, then both of my nexus900's have a mapping, my Gemini controller mapping, and the generic keyboard mapping.

No, keyboard mappings got nothing to do with midi. Did you set MIDI Im-port for your 850 to "All Ports" ??

I'm not sure. I've never mapped before, just kinda winging it! What should it be hehe?

There should be "DJM 850" and not "All Ports"
To me it currently sounds like your Gemini and 850 are both operating in same MIDI channel with all ports enabled. That's why your DJM is picking up the signal from your Gemini mapping.

Set correct port for your 850 mapping and see if that solves the problem.

Ok cool. I noticed on the djm850 hardware I can change the midi port. It's set to one currently, should I try two I guess?

Yes you can try to change that too. Just don't forget to remap all the commands to match to the new midi channel.

good news! i just turned the out-port on the gemini to NONE while i was using the mixer/cdj's and it stopped triggering the GAIN knob!

Thanks buddy, you saved me from screwing up my gig this weekend!
