Default S8 Deck B Filter & Bass encoders slightly "off"? Centre is not centre....

Weird one, hoping someone can shed some light on the matter.
Deck B on my S8, the filter knob is 'off', and what I mean by this is the cetre position actually produces 10% left in traktor, centre is not centre. Same goes for my low encoder, or maybe it's the mid...either way.

Is this common? is there a way I can fine tune it? could it have been caused by them being offcentre when I first installed the S8 and ran Traktor?

I'd really like to just be able to fix it, to be honest I haven't even looked into the mapping yet...not laziness, just don't want to ruin the default mapping, hoping someone already knows how to fix this

    Cheers!

Edit: Just for reference, the controller is brand spanking new so I know it hasn't been abused or anything.

    Hey,

I had this problem before with my S4, I have no idea what caused it but I did come up with a quick solution.

Go into Traktor's Controller Manager, select generic Keyboard and create a new mapping.

All you need to do is map the deck B filter adjust to any button on your keyboard.

    Type of Controller: Button
    Interaction Mode: Direct
    Set to Value: 0.500

This when you hit the button it will reset your filter to the "middle". Repeat the process for your low or mid eq's.

You should be good to go afterwards and you can delete the midi mapping afterwards.

    Cheers

Open Traktor preferences and go to the S8 tab, you should find a bunch of Recalibrate buttons to tune the knobs on your device.

Worked it out earlier when I re-installed on my new machine, padi_04 you were of course right, re-calibrating has done it's job

And thanks for the info fmstanford, bound to help other people with the issue. Sounds like that was a bit of a pain to solve!
