I thought he ate MIDI cables and shat out USB. His digestive tract is an upgrade factory. I wonder what he could turn the EKS Otus into
maybe I could plug my brain directly into it and use it to control the emotions of my crowd independent of the music.
This song is angry, so BE ANGRY
this song is sad, so be SAD! GAH!
I would never use this power for evil.
I promise

Tough question that one really, there is definantly some cool stuff that people have done in reaktor that you just cant do with any vsts or anything else. Clists beatlookup and ammobox are both examples of two absolutely great Reaktor ensembles that you wont be able to find vst version of.
That said Reaktor isn't the easiest VST in the world to use and you have to be a bit tech savy to get things working for you sometimes. Lets take Clists Beatlookup effect for example, its effects are triggered by key down events on your keyboard, to change it to react on midi events you need to change the device routing - this isn't something that is easily done by everyone. With that said, what you get out of Reaktor is well worth the effort you put into it.
Well... I am quite fond of Limelite and Metaphysical ensembles that come with Reaktor.
Just see if there's an eval version available to find out if you're into building your own synths too.
