Maschine

I am about to buy my first Mschine. Who here is super experienced and loves using Maschine?

I would love to hear any tips you have as well as music you have created using the platform. :-)

I love mine but you really have to take time to learn it first. A lot of people have one & don't use it because they don't take the time to learn it. I start all my music in Maschine & then export the audio to Ableton & finish my project there.

Nice. I ended up getting the Mk3 and have fallen in love with it. I am currently in the process of exporting old project stems from Cubaase and FLStudio to import into Maschine for live performance.

Hey the_bastet,

I've had the Maschine for almost 6 years now. I'm still on the MK1 and I absolutely love it.

When I first got it, it was a bit of a learning curve going from linear editing/arranging via Cubase and Acid Pro to the pattern/scene style of Maschine. That being said, it's crazy awesome how quick you can make a pattern, duplicate and make variations. I find I spend more time actually "making" music and getting ideas onto "paper" than trying to write a song and worrying about arrangements, mixing blah blah blah.

Lastly, I find come time for final arrangements I still bounce out my loops to a linear editor. I suppose old habits die hard but for me coupling Maschine with even a tool like Garageband is a solid combination. Do all your "work" in maschine and do the last little touches in a traditional DAW.

Furthermore, sampling is just F***ing phenomenal in Maschine. I used to stretch/chop and arrange piece by agonizing piece in Acid Pro then bounce over to Cubase for additional instrumentation and arranging. Maschine makes chopping and creating patterns with samples far easier.
