Bento, unless I misread duerr's post, he was commenting on Animus posting that critical review publicly, and agreeing that it was a bad decision. I think we're all on the same page.![]()

I was just really trying to re-illiterate the point that saying negative stuff about an event is bad if you were getting paid to play at it - just focus on the positives, its all part of how the game is played. Leave the negative stuff for the punters to point out !
I spose its ok to give a bit of constructive criticism about the event so your review comes across sounding realistic and not just like pure cheese, but its a very very fine line and needs to be treated carefully because it can easily land you in the poop
After reading my post i can see how it could be seen as me trying to disagree with him but it was not really meant to be put like thatSorry Duerr !
Animus, this is something we've discussed a number of times.
Public drama causes tons of issues, and makes all parties look unprofessional. No one wins. Someone isn't going to change their ways because you went after them in public, they are going to try even harder to defend themselves and make their attacker out to be the asshole so they can move on. Complaining is one thing, sending an email or with questions/concerns is one thing, but bringing it into a public forum for all others to see and discuss is another.
I'm almost definite the "reviews" section was for patrons, not for employees.
One time I posted "Wow, last night was kind of dead" about a night I used to work many years ago in the frozen North of Albany. The promoter chewed me out for it, because I was looked at as an employee and while I didn't need to say "Last night was fucking amazing" I could have said nothing, or just complained to my friends, where others wouldn't see it and say "Well, if he thought it was dead why the fuck am I going to go?"
*shrug* Silence goes a long way, as does private conversations.
