    @Whiskers
    I've said the same thing in the past. I used DD a little bit and I loved the sample bank. Everyone tells me to just use deck c or d. But it's just not the same.

    (in fact, even as a trance DJ i've looped certain vocal parts of songs on a separate deck)
    Far from a sample bank, imagine being able to record cue juggles and have the cue juggles themselves loop

    BentoSan:

    I know this particular "function" was requested to the developing team of NI.
    It would be a REALLY huge plus if implemented!

    You mean like the "hot cues/loops" in the 1000mk3s?

    I could imagine it being used for something like what you do with the EFX-1000. You record a sample then you apply a bunch of effects, eq, whatever and then it just loops while you move on to the next element you want in your mix. That would be sick!

    ...Wonder if there's a way to do this by combining with Ableton? I've done the whole routing through Ableton, but I remember that the sound input doesn't seem to turn into a track, so I don't know how you'd do this. Any ideas?

    Ah... sorry... didn't mean to steal your idea. I stopped at BentoSan's reply and didn't get farther down. ...Guess we're on the same track.

    Yeah it is possible to do these techniques if you route your Audio though Ableton, i have actually been talking about doing this for a while now - its very high on my list of priorities. Its possible to record both midi events and audio like this, but it takes a lot of work in a midi translator to get this setup though.
