Another Pioneer Traktor Product - "DJM" T1

Man, I am pretty torn, I love the idea of this mixer but I'm ready for a 4 channel version of this. If they did that, I would highly consider getting this. I can't help but wonder what music player this is supposed to be paired with?

I guess just something that runs timecodes, or outputs HID play info like Pio CDJs, or nothing at all.

I'll happily refrain from going into any sort of comment on the thing, but.

The DDJ-T1 is 1500
The DJM-T1 is 1800

The DDJ has four channels, inputs, outputs, AND transport (and jog wheels!)
The DJM has two channels, a few buttons, and probably the same built in soundcard.

I'm sorry to sound bold, or angry, or confused. This is beyond me.

It's got a flanger, every great DJ needs to make excessive and blatant use of a flanger, particularly if, like on the DJM600, the bpm detection isn't great and the LFO doesn't fit the song....

oh and with that same bpm detection you can make loops that aren't quite right.

Ironically they use Jazzy Jeff to promote the mixer, he uses Serato not Traktor, but maybe he's sponsored by Pioneer. I feel they totally missed the mark on price. You may as well go with the DJM 900 or hell even for a cheaper 4 channel timecode solution pick up the S4. Even the TTM 56s, a traktor soundcard, and Kontrol X1 come in cheaper.

That short video of Jazzy Jeff was taken when he was wearing the exact same clothes as when he performed at Pete Tong's pool party on Saturday of Miami Music Week.

Yes, I was there. Here's the funny part…if he was on that mixer, they left it sitting out after the show. I saw it from the side on the table they hadn't cleaned up yet when I went back later in the night for a party inside the hotel instead of on the pool deck. I kinda wish I'd actually walked up on stage…could have seen it early. Oh well.

All that being said, Pioneer has completely underwhelmed me again. I'm sick of their crap.

But, props to the people who called it. DJTT got it right on.

I'm going to go find/do something i'm excited about instead of complaining about everything…oh yeah…music…I still enjoy that.
