What about in the S2 backpack?

I'm pretty sure I answered this in an earlier post, but the VCI-400 Ean Golden edition DOES NOT come with the included software and overlays that the regular VCI-400 comes with.

So to be clear, with the VCI-400SE EG Editions you do not get the free Virtual DJ LE software, or Vestax's overlays for various dj softwares, or the Vestax stock knobs, and you can't choose your color of Chroma Cap (we shipped the black knobs direct to their factory).

You will get sweet custom firmware, a custom top plate with labels for our mapping, custom blue filter knobs, and free custom DJ Techtools mappings for Traktor Pro 2.

I can also already safely say that I will release an edit of the official Ean Golden mapping altered to fit my needs. Both of these mappings will require our custom firmware to function fully as designed.

As for the upgrade for regular VCI-400 users, I don't have any real news about that. I think Ean did make a comment regarding that on a blog post but there are no official dates, prices, or plans set in stone for that at the moment. However, my guess would be that it will probably happen at some point given the demand.

Also, our VCI-400 Ean Golden editions were held up in Customs for longer than expected and we have not yet physically received them yet. It looks like tomorrow or Wednesday they will arrive.

Given the amount of pre-orders and preparation we will have, don't expect anything to ship out until the day after we receive them. Thanks.

What about in the S2 backpack?

Yeah, it fits in there fine too, the S2 backpack is huge. The VCI-400 also fits into the S2 sleeve except since it's a bit longer it sticks out of the sleeve just enough so that you can't close the sleeve's velcro latch. I'm sure that even like that though the S2 sleeve would offer some additional padding and support.
