That looks very cool luigi, thanks for the heads up.

I've still got a couple weeks to wait for my 300, does anybody else have any favorites that they'd like to throw out there that I could compare with the Korg?

The midi KP is a toy that does horrible things to your audio quality!
The audio signal it puts out is weaker than a signal a decent audio card will put into it, this is because it converts the audio to digital and then back into analogue. The actual soundcard inside of the KP isnt that crash hot. If you wish to continue this conversation about the KP mini please use the appropriate thread.

Thanks for the input Bento, but could you give me some good alternatives. I'm sorry if it's something I should already know, but I don't, so I'd love to hear your opinions.

    Thanks,

I recently changed my mind about getting the VCI-300. The VCI-100 has more controls. Yea the VCI-300 may look cool but you can do more with the VCI-100. In the end, it's basically a choice between the number of controls you're able to use with one piece of equipment. Even though the possibility of using the VCI-300 with a separate unit for effects may exist, I'd rather have more controls in one unit. There may be a lot of technical stuff about the VCI-300 that makes the "quality" better but in the end it's all about how creative you are and how creative your unit allows you to be.

I'm going for a VCI-100 with a Echo AUDIOFIRE4 External Sound card. I should have my setup within the next 2 months.

I decided the same thing...Waiting for my VCI-100 to come in. I have a couple questions maybe you can help me with. 1) How come you chose the Audiofire 4 over the Firebox or other soundcards? 2) Where can I get the mapping for the 1.2 firmware? I am brand new to all this and before I uprgrade to SE, I thought it be best to learn the basics, so I will be using traktor and just want it to be mapped correctly for that program. Thanks so much!

Great! Thank you very much. But tell me, I see 4 different files to download, three for the VCI-100, do I want Traktor 3.4 Deck Control? What are the differences between the three? Thanks again
