    I am pretty sure it does: 1-= 4 beats / 2- = 8 beats / 4- = 16 beats (in the LED display)

I'm not in front of the mixer to test if it does anything otherwise, but I am pretty sure its functional as listed above. Now if we could get it to do a phrase, I'd be pretty happy!
I watched the video and he says bars, but when I messed around with my friends DB4, and the LED said 4 = it was 4 beats, 2 = 2 beats etc.

Having watched and listened to that entire video, it does leave me thinking..... what's his point?

He's obviously very passionate about his subject, but I'm having trouble finding out what that subject actually is. Is he saying that he's miraculously uncovered the fact that the DB4 is actually made in China even though the identifying marks state it's made in the UK?

Is he saying anything "Made in China" is crap, but in Germany is excellent? I don't really follow.

If he's saying that everything produced in China is crap, he may want to have a word with the likes of Apple and see what they think. And if the German's mass produce stuff whereby buttons don't occasionally fall off things, then well, what can I say...

My biggest gripe with A&H is the amount of self promotion they have been recently doing over customer interaction. They have updated more pictures of people using the gear, then they have on answering questions and/or post being made on their forum. If I wanted a marketing driven mixer, I would of bought one.

I am not going to be unreasonable and expect firmware revisions every 1/4 year, new features to be added every 6 months, or even a X.X version to be done yearly... What I do think is reasonable, and should be expected is, A&H to openly give us (all A&H customers) some type interaction outside of a blog post and blanket statements. Yes, I understand that the DJ department is not A&H'a bread and butter, but then why build a mixer/gear that you can completely support (digitally) and not support it? or at least build customer's support for it? Thats just not a smart business practice.

I believed, and want to still believe, that this mixer is going to have a great bright future, but as of late...

Are you talking about the shitty Mac drivers for the DB2? I had audio dropouts and latency issues, and I was told for months by A&H that they were "working on drivers". I gambled and kept the mixer, hoping the new drivers would come out sooner than later. Finally had to buy an Audio 10 just to get the functionality I had originally paid for. I was given absolutely no other alternative by A&H other than to keep waiting (without any estimated release date). They eventually released beta drivers with non-working download links, then pulled them because the weren't ready. Apparently they have finally released the REAL beta drivers, but many people are still reporting problems. The lack of communication is the worst part. I LOVE this mixer, but now I have to incorporate an additional audio interface and more complicated wiring (instead of just a USB connection) to get stuff to work correctly.

I've got the DB4 and its been working very well with Traktor, but ONLY Traktor. I feel bad that I told neilmcm that it was working fine for me, but then come to find out, that I can't use it for an output device (even though I can see it) for my MBP. I'd like to think that I've gotten better latency with the Mavericks/2.6.4 combo then previous configurations.

Like you said, I love this mixer, but the mixer can only go so far, developmentally and satisfaction wise, and it seems like A&H is taking a dump on both. Throw us a line here...

You only use the mixer as "external" with Traktor, but you only need drivers to use the DB4/2's audio interface to supply sound to the mixer via its USB connection.

It's an AMAZING mixer. Sooner or later they will get the driver issue fixed (if they haven't already) and it will be perfect. They are going for $1000 which is a steal.
