well i returned my cables and stuff and got an extended trs to rca to keep it unbalanced.

    Question though.

both when i was going form unbalanced to balanced with the TRS's and now when i am going form unbalanced to unblanced with this current rca setup, the one labeled "ring" has some strange issue with volumes at low levels.

When i put the level on my audio 2 all the way down then, very slowly, raise it, the levels on the "tip" rca goes up accordingly, but barely on the "ring" rca. after raising it a little more, it produces sound at the same level as the tip one. for a time it seems like sound is only coming out of one (only if u pay close attention will u notice that sound is coming out of the other (though very little)

i think it has to do with my sound card because i set it so that both speakers can be heard on the same (very low) level and then i lowered my itunes volume gradually. I noticed that both are ouputting the same level of sound.

in other words, up until a certain (low) level, only one speaker can be heard much higher than the other

So I got both my KRKs, and set them up using TRS to TRS cables, but now when I play music only one monitor plays the sounds. It's whichever monitor is plugged into the left outlet (The S4 is facing me).

    Any help would be appreciated.

Have you swapped cables and speakers around to make sure everything works? Have you checked your output routings?

I have a similar problem, but in low levels (see previous post in this page).

I have swapped the cables around (even the same issue when I used TRS)

Yeah, I did both. I can have one monitor plugged into either of the outputs and it plays from that monitor just fine. The output settings are fine too I believe. Here's a screenshot of it:

Edit: So I checked the back of the monitors, once I adjusted the levels on the right monitor (the one that wasn't playing sound atm) - sound started coming equally out of both.

However it seems that my right monitor has like a problem with the woofer. Fucking lame. Gotta go back to GC and pray they have a solution for me.

are the levels the same on both? or did u have to raise the "silent" one so that it is now higher than the other?

Nope, put them both on equal levels. It started working fine after that (aside from the fact that the fking speaker is blown!)

I hope you get yours to work!
