I'm routing the audio from each deck in Traktor to a channel in Ableton. In ableton I can then add effects (the effect slots in Traktor are used for advanced filter:92's for each deck). Ableton sets the master clock in my setup, because with Ableton you can make much more subtle changes to the master clock than I could achieve in Traktor. At the moment I'm using Ableton as an effects unit, but later on I want to use it as a hub also, because I also want to incorporate Maschine in my setup. But that's not going to happen for a while. I also use a tool called Midipipe (free and works like a charm) to hijack the midi signals coming from my VCM-600. This way I can use one midi-controller for two pieces of software (Traktor and Ableton) at the same time. If you want to know how to route Traktor into Ableton, check out BentoSan's guide...
