I'm a salesman for a huge telecommunications company in Canada... My job consists in doing everything in my power to grab every last dollar the customer in front of my is able to give me...often being more than what he is willing to give me, but always making him feel like he assessed a need of his. If i succeed at that and remain constant at it, then the pay is stellar.
Must remain focused though because one bad day of sales and your month's pay can go to hell. Very stressfull.
I study in university in marketing communications and am also a bartender at a bar in Montreal but i'm trying to switch to DJ.
I'm also an accomplished singer/songwritter and have been on the local scene for 6-7 years. Working on a solo album as we speak.
Yeah i'm a busy motherfucker...
and i blow all my cash on clothes, food and music gear...

(or is the stig joke lost on most people here. any top gear fans?)
I love top gear, they do the craziest stuff.
Seriously though, who is the stig? What kind of name is that?
you love top gear but you dont know the stig? du fuck????

still working at the same factory, but i have a scheme now with a night i'm starting on thursday, planning to build it up to weekly level (not a lot to compete with on thursday) and live off the door charge.
after this one, if it comes off ok, i plan to do another a fortnight later, with door charge (£1 all night), then another fortnight, £1 before 10, £2 after. Then from there hopefully enough interest will have built up to run weekly and keep the door low (£2 then £3). as long as i can walk away with £200+ in my pocket i'm happy. then i clone the night on a monday somewhere else. job done - fingers crossed.
I do odd jobs and stuff for a local VFW (Veteran's of Foreign Wars Association). Still trying to be a full time musician. I'm pretty much the definition of starving artist.
i'm just starting my 3rd year as an electronic engineering student,
DJ'ing pays my bills, nothing fancy, just commercial pubs n clubs,
a bit soul destroying to be so close to what i want to do yet so far away,
last saturday night was a break from the norm, and i had a blast so hopefully i'll
get more gigs at that venue.
also learning how to vst and iphone app, might earn a pennies more off them
