Default Sound from master outputs on spin

So i finally got my spin and traktor working together (was sick of DJAY wasnt enough fun stuff to play around with unlike Oldfashioned's TSI.) but anyways i digress.....

i finally got my set up to run from the spin to the AUX on my speakers and the precue through my headphones but the volume from teh spin to the speakers is really low ( little bass, kinda scratchy and the RCA cables are brand new because i thought that might be the problem) unless i crank the speaker's master volume almost to max and even then its still flat and scratchy. ive tried researching this everywhere i could but have had no luck. if anyone has any insight into this id really appreciate it because i have a few gigs next week and really would rather use Traktor than DJAY if i can get the sound working right.

btw, im running the spin on a yr old Macbook pro with snowleopard 10.6.4

    thanks a bunch

So i kinda figured out a way around my earlier problem but in playing with the tsi by oldfashioned i noticed a few things that could be improved.......

when using Mic ON/OFF for super cue mode and AutoMix for FX mode is there anyway to turn the LED's on when you push the button kinda like they worked in DJAY? ive noticed that i tend to get a bit confused when im all over the place mixing and then go to use an FX and im in normal mode or go to play with the physical EQ's on the spin and it starts controlling the values for the FX and i dont notice till way later and it sounds like crap.

If someone could update this or kinda tell me how to go about finding the values and what not this would be greatly appreciated to take an almost perfect map that much further.

your best bet is to download the .tsi file for the vestax Typhoon and start mapping from scratch there, that's what I did and the lights work. if you continue to map lights on oldfashioned's .tsi file, it tends to freeze the controller when the lights turn on for some reason.

    BMO...

do you have a working map that has some of the features im talking about? im pretty new to this whole thing and really have no idea where to start. is theyre any way you could send me your TSI file that has the lights working?

question tho... is the TSI you made simmilar to Oldfashioned's? because ive really gotten used to his mapping.

I have a map, but I just kept the original typhoon mapping, except that the mic and FX knob are used for filter on decks A and B, I also mapped quite a sophisticated FX to it, but my buddy did the setup wizard a couple of weeks ago and it whiped it all out, so I've been too lazy to go and do it again.

Has there been a fix for having LEDs on with the TSIs for the Spin?

Or are you guys still experiencing freezing?

Cheers dude! Really glad that you liked the map.

You can basically record your mix by hitting the REC button in traktor. It records a very large Wave file (depending on mix duration) that you can them master in Ableton or Cubase (or any DAW for that matter) and make some additions and then export it as an mp3.

I haven't really worked on the 4 DECK map for quite a while and I really think that the Spin can really be used with 4 decks successfully and with full creative potential. I have some cool updates for the 2 Decks map though. Check again after a few days. I will do my best to upload it. Also if you have any ideas that you think would be useful, drop a line and I will try to integrate them in the map.

    Big up!
