hi all, i'm Ann from Malaysia.
Been lurking for a while & decided to join the forum...just got a Numark Mixtrack for fun & gonna try some cool thing on it soon like what the great users in this forum has done.
Starting the djing ethusiasm about 3 years back, earlier education is on CDJs...but lately i have been too lazy to burn CDs due to scarcity of very good track that can fit an audio CD released monthly! so there goes the hard gears sitting prettily in the living room collecting dust while i take the portable controller to my workplace ;-)
Yeah i liked guitars & synthesizers too..
My music preference would be hardlifting/tech trance, hard house/techno & schranz, metal, grunge, punk & alternative rock

Hi guys,
I've been a long time reader of the blog. I thought it was time to finally join the forum. I recently sold my CDJ's + Mixer and just purchased a Kontrol S4 + Midi Fighter. I've been using Traktor Scratch for a while but felt that I wanted to do more with my mixing ie live remixing with cue points and layering effects. I feel this is where DJing is progressing. Theres a million DJs out there who can mix one track into another (theres nothing wrong with that and there will always be a market) but after seeing the cool stuff Ean was doing (with much lighter and more transportable equipment) I decided that the direction I wanted to go. I still have the old school DJ mentality a bit (I started mixing vinyl) and I find it interesting to hear peoples opinions who have started this craft with just a laptop. I love DJ technology and am always happy to shoot the shit. Hope to speak to you all soon!
