This will definitely work with Traktor DJ. I mean, it has a Freeze button. I don't see any Freeze option in Traktor Pro 2, and it's not like they're releasing a Traktor Pro 3 any time soon...

Downloads and active usage aren't necessarily the same thing. I have it on my iPad but I never use it.

It was free for a period too which I'm sure accounted for maybe 100k DLs or so.

There is actually a freeze button in Traktor. Its just part of the delay effect rather than its own effect.

I've looked closely at the amazon picture but I can't see the USB slots to plug in memory sticks? You know, the feature that would make it a cdj killer for lots of people???

I could be wrong but (aside from the logistical/price implications) I can't see why one of the major DJ software manufacturers would choose to bring out a piece of hardware that would encourage people to ditch their DJ software.

What he said, judging by the picture and all this controler will still need a laptop with traktor running. same like the new numark controler

The point is to make people think that it's really cool to have screens and lure them into buying the controller ... and later they'll realise the screens are too small to be useful.
