you could always position the table so that you face the room, but then the emptiness would be depressing....

I think you can get it at IKEA much like everything else in the world. Always check IKEA first.

    My basement.

3 turntable setup (we have 2 more 1200's under the desk...!)

~40yr old Bozak CMA 10-2DLS rotary mixer w/ decibel meter & space for isolator in the future, all "rack" mounted on 2x4's. whole thing slides out of desk and table section slides in to convert "dj booth" to "recording studio".

...The whole thing is wired for both Serato and Traktor with zero cable changes needed. Simply plug in to either the Serato USB or Traktor USB running under the turntables (one to each side of the booth so you can have both plugged into seperate laptops simultaneously).

The two sound cards are wired in-line, and are also split with the multicore cables, so all 3 turntables can play normal vinyl into the 3 phono channels on the mixer no matter if the sound cards are plugged into computers or not (AC adapter isnt plugged into the SL-1 in pics but normally would be, in order to pass TT signal to the A8DJ), line-in from Traktor and/or Serato can be played through the two AUX channels on the mixer at all times (4 Y-cables join the line-in from the SL-1 and Audio 8 DJ before they enter the mixer allowing 4 channels of audio on 2 mixer channels with no cable swapping necessary). Both sound cards have full vinyl control at all times.

Finally, two pictures of the "dance floor".

Sound system is from the early 80's, built by the same team that built the Paradise Garage sound system. Mid/top cabs are hung from ceiling above bass cabs. All cabling runs through conduit pipes in the walls/ceiling so all speaker cables are hidden.

Disco ball on a 2-rpm motor with 2 spotlights w/ -3 stop neutral density filters in both for that super sexy dance floor vibe.

Only disco and deep house up in this mofo.
