Oh don't... I get that every week. Saturday just gone I had one girl say, and I promise you this is true, "have you got that tune, erm, you know the one".
WHAT??? Do me a favour love! I told her to go and think about it before she comes over and says stupid shit like that again.
Turns out she wanted Hit The Road Jack.... erm, no!
Had this one girl who (without blowing my own trumpet) was obviously up for a bit of me, only thing is I wasn't really feeling her at all. But she was all up in the booth proper by my side grabbing me and shit, like to the point where I couldn't reach over to the left turntable. She had a glass of wine and thought that the deck itself would be a good place for it to live while she was pestering me. I picked it up to move it and she was pointing to where her drink was saying "I want it there", in like sort of a spoilt brat tone of voice. I looked her straight in the eye and told her it was an accident waiting to happen with an unamused look on my face. I think after I eye'd up every other girl in the place except for her she got the message and fucked off.

you have to judge the situation, it's different for each person. If they look like they could be a good person to know, then it's worth obliging them and cheekily getting them to sort you out with drinks - but most importantly not to let it screw up your music. Cute girls are the shit though.. keep one there if they're not drunk and annoying.. you may get more than you bargained for

this makes me laugh so much.. one of the burden's of using a meaty midi controller setup.. hha
Let's be honest. Is there anyone on DJTT who can honestly say, that to some degree, they weren't that sweaty drunk guy (or girl) at one time or another?!?
Just me? Everyone gets a little weird when they've been drinking...

I have never ever talked to a dj when mixing.
IF it's a friend of mine I go to the booth, smile and shake hands. 2 second distraction max.
If it's someone I just know I wait until he gets out of the booth to shake hands, or wait for an obvious moment he's not concentrated with the mix (drinking).
Tell the bouncer not to let drunk dudes into the booth.
all depends on your level of seriousness, if your goal is to dj weddings and school dances there nothing you can really do. if you wanna be a known club banger get "hype people" that show the crowed how to react, when to clap, etc.. have your hype people tell drunk people trying to get your attention to let you mix. so even if they're really drunk & annoying they just take out one of your pawns.. hahah /just messing about calling em "pawns", hype men/women are chill.
loltopic this one!
Here in my town this happens most of the times.I usually do the thumbs up or throw a smile, everything is alright.
