Ok. Well, the genres you play are not big here - at all. And where you from?

And it is not like the genres I mention (Techno, Minimal, Tech and Deep) are mainstream here.

I'm from New Jersey and I spin in NYC. The genres I spin are HUGE in Germany. But they are crazy over there

oh, that crazy comment was in the good way.

There are lots of different genres here. Hell, there's a club in NYC that will play almost anything at least once a month. I've seen ambient noise nights, gabber nights, metal nights, drum and bass, electronic, hip-hop, underground hip-hop, folk, cock rock, blues swing, etc. etc. etc.. But, well, I kinda stick to my thing for now. MIght start branching out cause, well, there's a lot more money in techno/house, even if I will be bored out of my mind.

Maybe the chicks won't be as crazy.

You can mix some fun stuff with techno and house. Throw in some horror movie clips, mix in guitar riffs from slayer (I did this once with a testament song). The music is basic which will give you more freedom.

Yeah, that's the idea. I need to go through a lot of my non-dance music stuff and see what I can string together out of it :-) Maybe some Zeppelin, Slayer, Slipknot, Tool, etc..

i can only say that you´re right about rock/metal vs. elektro/house. i have some nice rmxalbums from bands like ZAO, raein, converge and so on. i love to play those songs when i mix at parties of my friends, cause me and all my buddies are rooted in hardcore and metal. i also play drums in a crust/hc band here in germany. and hell next month is our first gig...
