Idk, I appreciate both styles. I genuinly like melodies, but sometimes I feel like trance and melodic house play in far too major keys. We need more minor trance.
Yeah I agree. In fact I prefer the more dark minimalistic style over the major I-IV-V typical style.

If you want a suggestion I think it would be to stop playing/listening to progressive house. It has been exactly the same for more than a decade now. Unless you are a New Jersey club douche in a vertical striped shirt with three buttons undone there is absolutely no reason that all these records shouldn't be turned into frisbees, ashtrays, or decorative lawn ornaments.

whoa man. jeez. Whats your problem? I mean, I understand you might not like the genre, but overall, its not overly filled with cheese. We are not talking about euro dance, Hard Dance, or Happy Hardcore here man. What gives?

Something I stumbled upon while looking at Fever Ray remixes. Pretty cool, dunno if this artist has anything else good.

Definitly a bit more techy. kind is like, melodic minimal haha. what a contradiction. Again, nice bass pads, and overall pretty decent. Uses melody, but thats not the whole point of the song, definitely more atmospheric.

Really you could say that about 90% of music nowadays, especially about EDM.

The thing is there's a 10% worth listening out there, but it takes work to find it. This is what this post is about.

Or you can complain and keep on thinking about the past.
