Do you have all your important data backed up? Then you should take use of the warranty.Hands down. Who knows whats the issue, maybe you get a new one.

Where did you buy it? Saturn, MediaMarkt or alike? Then a repair might be done in half a hour as they have their repair/service centers in the bigger stores, so i think you should try.

Never blow a fan with compressed air! This can do serious damage if done wrong, believe me. And if you really want to blow it (no homo), use 2 q-tips to hold the fan so that it doesnt move. And dont have energy going through the pc, i.e take out the akku.

..and remember, its not a trick its a Zoni Good Luck mate, i hope its nothing major.

well i took it to saturn today and they told me that they have to send it to sony for repair. they said that it will take about 2 weeks. if the damage isn´t under warranty i have to pay 85€ just them took look it up and + aditional repair costs.
but thanks they gave me a shitty asus 16" tank...
so let´s hope it´s no serious damage!

You wrote about it when you got it. Best of luck with the repairs, hopefully they return it before 2 weeks pass...

    Good luck,
for some reason Saturn always tried to rip me off, when it came to warranty issues.

damn, 2 weeks is the max, right? I had my Xbox360 repaired/exchanged once, they said it would take 5 to 7 weeks, in the end it was like 1.5. But MS aint Sony.

Can you play out on the asus? I think traktor has limited installs, dont it? Is the Asus even compareable with your VAIO? Would suck if they gave you a vey old laptop.

Yea fair enough if you blow compressed air straight into the fan port without opening up the rear end of the laptop then its your own fault. Open up the back panel of your laptop and then fire some compressed air into it. No problem AT ALL, so no idea why other people think so.... after all its only air.....

When my HP broke down they had a shipping box to me by the next morning and had it repaired and back to me within 48 hours of me dropping the package to Fedex.

This may work, i only know about desktop-fans. If the fan gets moving because of the air you may produce voltage that can damage the unit. I dont know if laptop fans are that different.

i would never take apart my laptop as long as it has warranty.
the asus i got from saturn is pretty much okay (4gb ram, 500gb...) but i won´t take it to gigs cause i just rent it.
