Honestly, if you're looking into a TR-1 in all seriousness, I don't see why you'd rule out the Novation Twitch.

I realize it's set up a little bit differently, but they are similar enough to the extent that I feel it's a worthy mention.

I'm not a fan of the S2 or S4, they look a bit poxy IMO.
The Twitch deffo looks a better piece of kit than the TR 1.
To me this video really shows what it can do nicely


I am a fan of platters for pitch bending/scratching/spinbacks but tbh the Twitch looks like a better planned UI. Love the 8 pads and the FX section looks nice and clean - I think I'm sold on this - any others I need to check?

On the other hand the Twitch doesn't feel that nice. The faders are iffy and the pots are *horrible*. I would recommend checking one out in store before you commit.
