Ha ha ha ha, what you gonna say when you turn up to a club and you don't like the mixer? "Sorry mate, don't like that mixer, I'm not playing". You won't ever get booked again!

Do what Hoff said, use the external mixer for the EQ's and assign 4 filters to your VCI 100. Or, do what I'm about to do. build a small midi box consisting of just 4 knobs in a row then attach that to the top of your VCI 100 so that it is effectively one unit. Job done.

Or what you could do is go out and spend 500+ bucks on a mixer, get used to it, then get to a club with a mixer that has no FX so everyone can really appreciate the practice you put in to relying on those filters at home.

Either way you seem like your mind is made up, just get the mixer.

What I meant by "if its fit to use" was that if it really isn't fit to use I would mix internally with my audiofire2 and settle for 2 decks.

But ya I need to just get a mixer....

    Back to the topic :
You could spare more $$, get the djm800 and be screwed when you get somewhere that doesn't have one. I'm with everyone else who suggested "just mix external on any decent 4 channel mixer, and control the internal filters with a little midi controller which you keep close to your frequently used controls".

The Xone:42 looks really yummy but only has one filter.
