I once put it to 64samples and experienced no output. Put it back to 4092samples or sum' and presto, out came the sound.
This setting has to deal with sound quality, if you keep pushing it down, at one point you must be reaching silence.

Told him/ asked him the same on a dutch DJ forum. Don't know if he has read it actually.

but now I have distortion when I play my tracks.. kinda cracking like when your speakers are blown (but they aren't)

I've changed the buffer size to 512 too
I'm really glad you guys helped me out to this point, hope you can help me further

That crackle is the latency settings and where things start getting difficult
You need to adjust the latency settings for the virtual audio cables on Traktor at the same time as adjusting the virtual audio cable settings and your soundcard settings on Traktor until you get settings that work for you. As with all latency settings they vary from pc to pc so its impossible to tell you which latency settings will work for you.

I installed an express-card and after that i couldn't find latency settings that would run stable at all, so i switched over to JackDMP which works well except it only currently has support for 2 decks in stereo or 4 decks in mono.

Hey guys, any1 has an idea on how to output the signal from ableton to the soundcard (which runs on asio) ???
I could figure out how to route the audio into ableton but I have no clue how to set up jackdmp to route it to asio...

    Thanks in advance, Patrick.

Well this is how i set Jack up (the Audio routing into Ableton works but the Audio routing out of Ableton doesn't...)

I can't find a way to route it to my soundcard (the card is powered on when jack is being started...)

You need to start the jack server telling it what soundcard you are using

For instance in the command prompt i type :
    jackdmp -R -S -d portaudio -d "Driver name here" -p latencyhere

to get the driver name list you need to type

    jackdmp -R -S -d portaudio -l

So for instance i might type:
    jackdmp -R -S -d portaduio -d "FireBox ASIO Driver" -p 192
