    Yeah the internal pitch resolution is a lot higher than the midi it outputs - so reverse engineering the firmware will no doubt lead to higher pitch fader resolution.

    I don't understand why Vestax just doesn't make the firmware open-source, they would sell much more units and wouldn't have to deal with issues like this.

    Amen... i would have thought hardware manufacturers would have learnt from the Monome.

    Okay so I look at my Traktor yesterday...I have my pitch fader set to "Fine Pitch" +/- 6% IMO its way better than the stock settings.

    Sometimes I will switch between +/-8% and +/-35% during the set if I need to do some dramatic pitch changes. It's not ideal, but it works.
