For Traktor 3 to see timecode you must have Traktor Scratch 1.2(Original) installed because that installs the DVS plugin.

Sorry for bumping this after over a year, but I tried what was suggested and gave up. I'm again looking at this wondering if I should put it back in the attic.
I managed to get version Traktor 3.2.0.85. and I have the disk with Final Scratch 1.5 (i tried both installing the amp and the amp/application) but on Traktor 3 I don't get an option to select my soundcard (Scratch amp) it only lists 'Final Scratch 2' or 'All Other' Soundcards (here I see my laptop's soundcard and external one if it's connected).
You mentioned Traktor Scratch 1.2 Karlos, did you mean Final Scratch 1.2? if it's actually Traktor Scratch 1.2 where to hell do I get this? ...if only for the driver.
Well, can anyone help me find FS v 1.2 then?
I wonder if I still have my disks somewhere...
I'm cleaning out my basement right now to remodel it. I'll keep an eye out, but don't hold your breath. :-/
Galaxion, I have a similar dilemma as you. I bought FS 1.1 ages ago and it collected dust while I got a real job. I still have CDs that came with it FS1.1 for PC (reboots in linux) and FS1.1 for OSX. I would prefer to use a more modern software than the original CDs. I did some research and came up with the following options, in my order of preference:
1) On my old PowerPC Mac, install USB Audio Driver for Mac, v2.0.9. You can download it from the NI site after registering your product. After that, try to use Mixxx (or something else) as the software.
2) Try getting FS v1.x working on Linux natively. According to Wikipedia: "FS 1.0 was released for PC only, on a specially modified distribution of Debian Linux. It was relatively primitive but some users found that, if configured correctly, it outperformed all subsequent versions of Final Scratch 1.x." I don't have FS v1.0 CD, but maybe I can track down a copy. Fyi, v1.0 was not Traktor .. Traktor started with v1.1. At worst I can try to install v1.1 on Linux. Some instructions that might help:

3) Figure out some way to make FS work with a more modern version of Traktor. The Traktor version are hard as heck to understand:
[ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traktor"]Traktor - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia@@AMEPARAM@@/wiki/File:T3Loop2.jpg" class="image"><img alt="" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/8c/T3Loop2.jpg/200px-T3Loop2.jpg"@@AMEPARAM@@commons/thumb/8/8c/T3Loop2.jpg/200px-T3Loop2.jpg[/ame]
As far as I can tell, the proper terminology for the Traktor that came with FS hardware is "Traktor Final Scratch". And as far as I can tell, only Traktor FS v1.1 and v1.5 will work with the original FS hardware. Traktor FS v2.x only works with FS2 hardware.
According to the above wiki, the different flavors of Traktor over the years were: Traktor Studio, Traktor DJ, Traktor DJ Studio, then it appears Traktor DJ Studio 3 was renamed to Traktor 3, then came Traktor Pro, then Traktor Scratch Pro. "On April 1, 2011, version 2 of Traktor was released." Say what? They released Traktor v2 after Traktor v3?! The naming convention is just all over the place.
The only thing I'm confused about is what is Traktor Scratch then? Are you guys referring to Traktor Scratch Pro or Traktor Final Scratch? Or is Traktor Scratch something else that they failed to mention in the wiki?
So exactly which version of the Traktor software can I use with the original FS v1 hardware?
4) Revert to the original v1.1 install CD.
5) Pull out all my fingernails.
Anyways, if I get anywhere, I will post my results. Galaxion, I'd like to know if you got anywhere with your install.

No mate i did mean Traktor Scratch 1.2 (not Pro)
This was the 2 deck scratch version of Traktor 3 and came out with the first and original Audio 8 soundcard.
When TS 1.2 was installed alongside Traktor 3 it enable the DVS plugin so that Traktor 3 (4 decks) could be use with timecode.
It was the first version of Traktor DVS after Traktor Final Scratch. Its totally discontinued.
Personally i would give up on FS (any version). Its more trouble than its worth.
I hear your, but once I go down a path ...
My option #1 failed. Mixxx only works with OSX 10.5 or higher under PPC. My old laptop doesn't have enough specs to install OSX 10.5. I'm currently running 10.4. Cool thing is I got OSX 10.4 to recognize FS v1 hardware as 2 USB audio devices. It seems like I'm pretty much out of luck with regard to the DJ software I can use on OSX 10.4 PPC other than my original Traktor FS v1.1 CD. Gonna dig around a bit more for old software and if no luck, will move on to option #2 (native linux install).
o how i hated that software
Use it with xwax! Or VDJ or Torq?
