    Yeah there was a major recall of 2007 Macbook Pro batterys.

    That one in the pic isnt mine but mine did get sent back as it was swollen. They sent a courier round to pick it up as it was regarded as a fire risk.

    There were some pretty horrific pictures around at the time. Some actually caught fire.

    It seems Apple are obsessed with making everything smaller and thinner.

    my mbp (pre-unibody) used to get uncomfortably hot..until i got the logic board replaced..now the fans won't stop running because (i think, from my research) the person who did it didn't put the sensors back on right. cool as a summer breeze now! :P

    yeah, apple has always put aesthetics before function... or in this case, cooling.
