Well thats out then.
I value your opinion Bento so i may just go the whole way and buy Live 8.
There should be demos of both of those if you did not know, also its cheaper to upgrade from lite to full last time I checked.
Yeah there is a 30 day demo of Ableton that's worth checking out. It's what I was messing around with for awhile before finally deciding that I wanted to get the program.
Seriously though, I'm still blown away by everything it can do. I've come from more of a production background than a DJing background, and it's simply just a great and powerful transition.
I've tried out the demo, I definitely like ableton.
But right now i don't need ALL the functionality of live, so I'd just like live lite to mess around with for now.
Don't forget too that once you have lite, you can upgrade to the full version for substantially less than it costs to buy otherwise: http://www.ableton.com/lite-upgrade
Another way to find a good deal if you're hard up on cash is to buy the educational version. They usually sell it at universities. You just need to be a student/faculty/staff (or know one, I guess.)
I love Ableton Live.
Hmm, yeah i can get a bit of discount at my local store on the Lite version then maybe upgrade to the full one.
I only wanna see what the fuss is about so buying the full version out right is a bit silly as im not gonna DJ with it. Probably use it to master tracks im making on Maschine and do some warping of tracks to use in Traktor.
