@Karlos Wondered how long it was gonna take before that i heart itch avatar was gonna be flagged up ;-)

That controller you knocked up in photoshop is mega sick... seriously man would anyone in not get that????

That is all it would take... perhaps with a built in audio 8 soundcard?

I've been a Traktor user since Traktor 2, but itch & a VCI300 is currently my weapon of choice.

I find using itch a lot more intuitive than Traktor. I also think that it's remarkably close to the "two decks & a mixer" analogy that it's based on.

Obviously this is primarily a "controllerist" forum, & Traktor can do some amazing things with its 4 decks / effects etc. But if you find you're not using traktors advanced features & just want a simple reliable system, then itch absolutely rocks.

Also, .....it's not really about being a "Switcher". I own licensed copies of Itch / Traktor / Torq / Virtual DJ. If I think any of them suits the gig i'm doing, then that's the software i'll use that night.
    Cheers

Thanks for the heads up! Just look at my sig for the reason

One thing I would add to your controller: a fourth knob under the bass for filter. I've really gotten used to the one in the DJTT mapping and miss tremendously on the DX...

    Really nice design karlos,
If we put a mod of Midifighter with a good XY PAD plus a Joystick it would be perfect for all situations!!!

Better then that only with Touchstrips for Faders and EQs (more like SCS.3m)

I know... damn you!!! I should have expected it.

Yeah intergrated Audio 8 in the controller for 2 or 4 timecode decks and its a killer machine. Nothing less than all that.

Yeah that was my feeling also. Itch is the controller version of SSL.
Its integration with the VCI 300 is as tight a fuck. In that respect it is fantastic.

Thats why i mentioned earlier that Serato have obviously realised theres no point in having a Controller version of SSL they may as well go the whole way and implement all the bells and whistle that controllerism has to offer. That will no doubt be Itch 2.0.

Yeah that pic wasnt planned out. I spent more time making the colours similar from the 3 pics that bodged together.

    The point being:
    4 decks
    Traktor Scratch Certified Audio Interface
    Full 4 deck control surface (2 X1s)
    14-bit midi Jogs

Phil try the mapping that Rainer has made. I edited the manual for it and it looks to me to be pretty spot on.

    Phil.

    Phil check out:
    http://www.mixarchitekt.com/

most of the guys on NI forum with the DX have been using this mapping. I believe he has shift+gain to work as the filter.

We need a full review of the DX soon by you!!

Till then, I'm taking the picture of Karlos's controller and linking it to my facebook page and posting it on the NI forum as a leaked Kontrol X2!!! Time to start a rumor
