    Actually, I use that in Ableton Live to add synth parts occasionally. I don't do it enough to warrant bringing an actual controller, but using my keyboard like that is just about perfect for what I want.

    PC's can do the same. Nothing to do with whether its Windows or OSX but rather a feature built within the DAW.
    Ableton, FL Studio, Logic, Garage Band etc.. are among those capable of it.

    so lets get this, because garage band is on mac and it can use the keyboard as a midi keyboard, its better than pc? WTF has he ever heard of mixcraft? its on pc and guess what, it does the same thing. Mac is an overpriced status symbol, that is nothing more than a pc without a bios running a lock down build of unix, GG no re mac.
