You dont need to use Browser Only toggle. You can set a key to minimise all decks so that you can browse.

But go 15" its just easier. We use 15 and 13 and althouigh the 13 is neat and small the Traktor UI (is thats whats been used) is cramped.

Yeah my 13" serves me well as I do not use Traktor but Ableton8 for gigs. Right now though it serves more as my portable for school. Certainly has saved me allot of stress being able to take my work anywhere with me rather then being tied into the Computer Labs at school.

No one suggests 17"? That's what the infamous deadmu5 uses

But he's more like a touring musician with a stage and all, not a DJ working in various clubs/festivals/venue -right?

I bought a 17" MBP and sold it right away. only played one gig with it on serato and it was nice and all..but it was too hugh. Ended up getting a 15" MBP and its perfect for Traktor, Serato, and Live.

yeah, 17 is a little overkill. But 15 is probably just right. I just picked up a 13" MBP and love the portability but kinda wish I got the 15". I say if your able to fork out the extra cash on a 15" do it.

The 15" I7 is the way to go if you can afford it. It's smokin fast, not too small that you can't see your entire Traktor setup, but not too large that it becomes a burden to haul. Don't buy the ram upgrade though, cause you can get it cheaper other places.

I'd probably skip out on the i7 and go for the i5, its cheaper, fast enough, and you can avoid the heating issues. The body on my i5 MBP has gotten pretty hot a couple of times as it is...

Don't know about any of you, but my mac is longer than 17"

    Zing!.

No really, I owned a 15", I found it great in screen real estate, just a bit heavy and bulky for some places. I traded it in for a 13", love the size, I just full screen Traktor or Ableton, and assign seperate screens for them using Spaces.

I'm with mmauve. I love my 13". It's compact size is awesome for handling. But if you are definitely spinning 4 decks, then you'll probably want the 15.

I love my 13 too. It's absolutely perfect for my needs, when I'm playing out I can see everything I need to see (mind though, I only use two decks with traktor) and when I'm doing studio stuff with ableton live/logic/reason/whatever I never feel cramped. I felt weird with the 15 with the speakers on the side of the keyboard. Dunno why but that was just me.
