I had an interview a month ago and was told by the interviewer that the stuff I put down for DJing/pro audio interested him the most because it vaguely related to skills that would be useful in the company dealing with digital media...

It depends on how you play it off, worst case they ignore it but in some case it can help and may make you stand out as interesting. If anything it can be a good conversation starter- gives you something to briefly talk about in an interview.

Every Job interview I have had I aced the actual interviews (and got the jobs)

However all my employers stated to me pretty clearly that their concern was that I'd get bored and leave due to the enjoyment factor of my previous work.... kinda worked in my favor though as they always gave me side projects to do in related areas to keep my interest (brochures, media, website development) which were a hellofalot more interesting than the "actual" job of just being an IT tech

O.T. while at a crossroads many moons ago about my career direction and I wanted out of the entertainment industry for various reasons; I went on a short course of aptitude style tests ..

The result: Would be best suited as Disc Jockey or Lighting Designer that was I was doing at the time. Go figure.
