Wrong, Cubase 4 has still to be cracked, and it will most probably not be (I know that for a fact).

Anyways, I have found that some of the originals that I own, the cracked version actually works better. Not going to go into details here though, I dont wanna incriminate myself hehe.

Please, don't hate me for this... but Cubase 4 has been cracked.. and there is even a Portable version.

Yes, I know previous releases were buggy, crashed, etc.. but there are a few stable versions out there now.

union says what??? LOL yeah if $15000 software is getting cracked, $300 software should not be a problem, sad that the hackers made Pro more stable then NI but I think NI was not prepared before releasing Pro and I don't think they expected the amount of demand for it. NI site wont let me buy it, something about my address not correct. last time i checked ivebeen living in the same house for the last 5 years!!! LOL!!

If you say so... lolz If you mean that buggy piece of torrent that is all over the place, then you might say that it was "cracked" but its merely a work around that MIGHT or MIGHT NOT work, its a 50/50 thing. Thats not what I call a crack, thats what I call a cheap shot and bad cracking. Do you know how many lines of code that Dongle Emulator was? If you got it to work, you were merely lucky. (and yes, you will argue that all your mates got it to work, and I will argue back that almost none of mine got it to work, lets not argue that way, lets see hard proof!) (Via PM of course, as you dont want to post anything illegal on this here fine forum)

Anyways, since I own a copy of Traktor Pro, I wanted to try out the illegal version to see how it works, and at first of course it was badly cracked as well. There has been a patch since then, and it seems to run very stable. However it is a shame that they just dont lower the price instead of investing thousands and thousands of dollares in some company that programs buggy copy protections.

I love what Apple did with Logic Pro, taking away the dongle, making it a serial, with an option NOT to register or authenticate and on top of that, they only took half the price. I know 7 persons that went out, tried it, were happy and then bought the thing cause it was so cheap! Maybe NI and Steinberg should follow their example.... Or maybe Apple should just buy NI!

And about "Try before Buy", I like it. Cause all software I have been able to evaluate in a proper manner (not some weak stripped down or trial 30 days version), I have ended up buying.

Damn strait - kick the copy protection and drop the price
Copy protection just adds another thing into the program that consumes resources and adds to the chance of the program bugging.

    Nemo:

    1. Did you read your PM before writing you post? I sent you more than enough proof!
    2. Torrent? Why in the world would I use slow, crappy, virus infected torrents when there's ultra-fast direct downloads? Sorry, it's been about 2 years I haven't use a .tor
    3. Just in case.. No, I have not read your my PMs yet (In case you have replied to the one I sent you)

I totally agree! Hmm Apple buying NI would be REALLY interesting!
