Its about 10 minutes on the train. Both hotels have secure 24H parking.

Magic. Thanks very much for that. I'll get booking later tonight.

-gain knobs have a center detent (wtf were they thinking?)
I kept those for filters (or pan, or key, whatever) and use deck's shift + central rotary encoder to adjust deck's gain, makes more sense for me.

Yul do you have a copy of what each button/fader is assigned to on the DX for your mapping? Just interested to see how you have mapped the DX out as I've watched your videos and it looks pretty complex. Also how long did it take to do. Not wanting to steal your mapping just looking for inspiration

It is complex (HUNDREDS of commands) and it's still evolving so I can't give you an honest answer but it takes an awful lot of time, mainly when you're bringing new "concepts"/ideas to your unit.
But I chose a long path as I multiplied the mappings needed (I'm working for each deck with three different states - loop & move, hotcues and direct Fxs).

However I do have a written plan (drawing) somewhere here on the site but it's no longer valid. I hope to do a quick video like the others within the next days so I may post this plan at the same time or send it to you directly (but it won't be documented/explained).

Meanwhile if you have specific questions (or need help with your mapping), just pm me, I'll try to answer them.

From you videos I can see its complex, but very impressive.

Look forward to seeing your video when posted. Thanks very much for offering help and advice its very much appreciated. I might try it myself but using a standard mapping as my baseline. As I'm still very new to midi controllers it may take me a while
