    yeah, 12 was when i started getting into dance music - it wasn't uncommon to hear Daft Punk at school dances, generally most the kids were into the more mainstream dance of that time because it got play on the pop charts. fortunately the guys who had mainstream success in the 90s were the likes of The Prodigy, Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers, Crystal Method, Fatboy Slim etc...
