No relatives to speak of down there but some mates and crew there for sure. caught up with a few of them on facebook so apart from some aftershocks everything seems to be ok. Its gonna take weeks to clean up the city tho and the assessors are condemning shit loads of buildings, apartment complexes, malls and stuff. we get lots of quakes here in nz but aparently this was the worse one we've had since the 30's. Just woke up so need coffee and check the news.
