    honestly all of them are an eye-sore.

    i'd scrap the birdseye turntable/mixer photo altogether, it's really cheesy.

    the "hedgehog" logo is not bad, if you want some more graphics to accompany the logo, why not go with some graphics that are in a similar vain.

    i'm thinking something like some smooth sleek abstract lines/geometrical shapes - you know something that has a similar style to your logo and compliments it rather than detracts from it.

    you're a dj, people who visit your site don't need to be reminded with a cliche shot of turntables and mixer. it's too obvious and unimaginitive.

    There's one term that, for me, works in all appeal circumstances.

    K.I.S.S.

    Keep it simple stupid.

    Really though. Keep it simple. Don't be busy. Get your name up there, maybe a nice background, and have the content be the focus instead of your header. Take a look at some popular blogs, forums, and other sites. You don't want it to be busy because then it detracts from your content.

    I hope you aren't paying more than 20 bucks. Anybody could make a website like that after a weekend of messing around with either drupal or wordpress.

    @padi_04: It is actually drawn, no fx

    @duerr: Alternative ideas are welcome

    @BigC: Sounds pretty good, just need a good logo then

    @maxonemillionone: I'll pay you 40 bucks and expect a better design, how about that?
    That kind of criticism isn't getting you anywhere on DJTT.

    I must be the only one to prefer the drawn one
    But I agree the header is too large

    Lose the photo, go wild with the illustration on top instead.
