I use filters, echo freeze, beatmasher and slicer, sometimes the formant filter.
I do! If you press rewind, and fiddle with the volume making sure it doesn't go too high, it makes for a great sounding effect.

I enjoy mapping a single control to do a few things at once. Like selecting a delay speed, gate clipping the signal and leaving a trail off delay. Or mapping different FX that are triggered at the end of build ups when changing the loop size with buttons. Gater FX plus Distortion, or Gater plus Iceverb. All these things with a single knob or button.

I also come from using Ableton and Reaktor A LOT. I really love the Finger, and Buffeater as a post effect. Routing Traktors master out to these Reaktor Plugs is a lot of fun. For example, instead of just dropping out the sound via faders, using the Finger or Buffeater to produce a similar result just with various FX. Stuff like bit crushing, high pass filters, granular stretching etc...

I really wish Traktor would implement post fader FX, and incorporate a similar idea to Seratos smart knobs, or Live's FX Racks. It would be nice to be able to customize stuff a bit more. I quit routing Traktor through Live, and I really miss the ReDux fade effect. I forget who actually made it, but it's beautiful for fading out of tracks. TOTALLY ADDICTIVE.

Hey so regarding the xone filter (I think you're talking about the 92 filter? HP/LP?), is there anyone out there who can comment on how this HP/LP filter would compare to the filter on the S4? The filter on the S4 has been awesome for me, and it's also the right sized knob for this kind of filter. But you never kno... I don't really know, but is it possible to choose what kind of filter you want, as well as the EQs?

    delay, reverb, filter.

I sometimes use gator -- meh.

But the IceVerb, which is just another type of reverb is cool too. I just hate switching thru effects. I like having 1 or 2 dedicated buttons to get me to some instant effects and just use those.

Does anybody knows about creating your own effects with Pure Data?

I'm learning PD and Max/MSP right now and creating some VSTs in the future, but i'm wondering if how to make VST1's to import to VDJ as it only supports them.

I use the TT FX! You can have it at the end of an FX chain, so you can have a buildup and then slam the TT FX, slam the dry/wet to zero, then have the track drop.
