Yeah, for me this would be the kind of club I would design.

And P, I do think you cant go wrong with a setup that will allow both traditional as digital DJs.

For instance have the following set up for DJs to use.

    2x Technics SL 1200 MkII or Mk5G
Spill beer and they still spin.

    2x Pioneer CDJ-1000 Mk3
(If I am correct this is the current Generation)

    1x Korg Zero8 mixer
Eight channels, internal sound card, MIDI controlling possible

    4x Easy sound channel connectors
Use the remaining 4 channels of the Korg Zero8 for Digital DJ connections. Make 8 connections, 2 per channel, as that a digital DJ can easily hook up his laptop and MIDI controllers and not bother the DJ in front of him.

    Enough wall outlets
A Digital DJ needs his power for his setup.

    Internet Connection
Some DJs can find the time to download the latest tracks from beatport and such, just for that killertrack they gonna be needing later on in there set.
    (Wifi or cable)

Oh, if you book a digital DJ, have him or her come by before the set, as that you can make sure all is in place.

Have you experienced hissing/noise problems with your Zero8? I was looking to get it, but figure an A&H might be better in terms of sound quality.

What kind of PA system you thinking of getting?
    NTNY Music

    Hardware:
    Macbook Pro 2.2GHz, 2GB RAM
    Novation ReMOTE 25 SL
    Novation Nocturn
    Software:
    Traktor Pro
    Ableton Live 7

Should most likly go with a cable for that, i think its true that you should keep most wireless things (like cell phones) around audio equipment

got no source for that, but iv seen stuff on it before

Ya, would be going with a cable anyway, keeps people from hopping onto the connection and slowing things down.

Thanks for the list Tekki, for sure getting the Technics and CDJ-1000's. Gonna shop around for mixers for the next few weeks. I had already inquired about an A&H Xone:464, but wait time is around 6 months, which is to long for my tastes.

Ack, for the lighting system that Tekki shows, it would cost over 20K$ for the length of what is going to be the dance area. Thats quite a large sum of money and I don't know if my boss will like it to be so much =/

For the sound system, I'm working right now with two former audio tech's and they are going to build one for me. I'm thinking having ultra low frequency subs built under the floor, you won't be able to hear them, but you can feel the bass.

Can I put my vote in for some decent pinpoint or gooseneck lighting in the booth. Using a little LED flashlight to do your job gets really old.

Lets have a DJTT party for the opening night :-) Just factor it into the start-up costs
