Asshole? Yes. Overrated talent? that is a very ignorant thing to say.

    this proves why:

Jay Z is listening to some beats KANYE produced, back when he was only famous for creating beats. the shit in the video is pure talent.

(I almost never listen to hip-hop)

+ you get to see JayZ high off his fucking balls.

Amazing album. I just watched the 30 minute plus video on his site too and that was really good!

He is so creative and individual...a true talent.

I feel ya man. The guy presents himself as a complete jackass to the public (IMO). However, in a time when rap/hip hop/whatever you wanna call it seem to be recycled non sense, his beats are fresh and have a new feel. I can't help but like his music. His attitude I could do without. my 2 pennies.

Pitchfork will give any hip-hop album a 10, simply because they don't know dick about hip-hop.
Not saying that Kanyes album does or doesn't deserve it though.

Aside from the first track, I've skipped through it, and nothing got me. Not even Power (despite my like for King Crimson). Basically it's like every other Kanye album to me. No bad, but not groundbreaking or interesting either.
