CPU meter is fine not overloading or anything
Have noticed that if I stop both decks and load a track it loads ok but if one deck is playing and you load the other it takes up to 40 secs to load
It sounds like not enough power dosnt it!
Going to try the gigaport soon

Oh NO I plugged the gigaport in and its working perfectly.
So the issue is with the audio 8 surley it cant use that much extra processing power can it?
If this is the case gonna have to buy a new computer so half price tsp because I wanted the soundcard and the option to use timecode at some point is not such a good deal for me!

    Try a different USB port.
It could be on a underpowered port

Do you have the Audio8 Settings Tool open. This will show USB Streaming Errors.

    Hey dude.

You tried setting up a different user account just for DJ'ing?

Thats what ive done on my Toshiba and it runs all fine.

Try it...set up a new user account and disable things you wont need like internet connections, webcam, anti virus etc.

Yeah thanks its already only used for djing no internet no anti virus no background programes or word processing printers or anything.
The weird thing is that now I have put the gigaport back on instead of audio 8 it works like a dream.
But I am confused how can the audio 8 use so much processing power that it makes loading very slow just dont understand at all

Hmmm are you sure there isnt maybe a different driver you need to use to match scratch pro with the audio 8?

Seems like a problem with the software working with your hardware, not your laptop...

@ Tony , please file a Support Ticket over at NI. AS DJew says drivers issues are usually a big problem and as your laptop is skating on thin ice they might be able to suggest one of the older drivers.

I have been back and forth with NI s tech support they are being very helpfull
As it stands they had me do a latency check
With the gigaport the system passed with the audio 8 it failed.
Its now obviously an audio 8 isssue
So I have just sent the ball back over onto their side of the net and am waiting for a reply
