No, I actually lost it because Windows stuff is shit. You should not NEED to backup ANYTHING. You buy a computer with a large hard drive so it can store shit. Not so you need to get 3 more backups to backup the info since the fucking piece of shit you picked up first was a fucking waste of money.

Microsoft, Windows, PCs are not the way to go from my experience. I used to be a die-hard PC fan. My opinion is not biased, it is supported by experiences I have been through.

Thanks for your fruitful responses but to be honest all hardware can potentially crash so back up is very important. I'm a photographer by trade and have back up drives of back up drives along with CD backup storage for total piece of mind.

I have owned a PC HP Compaq for ten years and it is still working everytime (even though the spec is poor in comparison and it makes some funny noises lol).

I am however thinking of taking the plunge and now going for a MAC Book Pro. It will be my first ever mac and even though I would never make the move fully to mac for my occupation (too much software and hardware to replace) for my music / audio interest I think it will be a good call.

I don't think I can justify paying a £1000 for one though as I have already spent near a grand on the S4 and some Rokits.

Is this possible? does that not deify the point of owning a mac with its more stable os?

Even then you would've been able to recover the stuff from the hd.

Mintaka I got a Windows machine and it runs S4 fine, but it's quite high spec.

I've just bought a mac though cos I wanted a seperate dj laptop and if you can afford one get a mac.
I got a 3 year old one from eBay for £560 and it's like new.

KRK rokits are awesome for home btw.
what spec was the mac you got?

Ever since my Iphone stopped working I kind of pledged never to have anything to with apple again, looks like I might be eating my own words soon lol.

Dude welcome to the real world.
Shit happens, stuff breaks and especially, data is lost.

Learn the hard way if you want but you will lose some data and a backup is the only thing that helps.

Computers (and harddrives) are not forever. Shit crashes sometimes. Back it up. Always.
